Each Crown & Crux piece is an heirloom of artistry and integrity — meticulously crafted to the highest standards of fine jewelry. We take pride in every detail and stand behind the workmanship of your piece for life. 

Lifetime Manufacturing Warranty 

Your Crown & Crux fine jewelry is protected by a lifetime warranty covering craftsmanship and structural integrity. 

This includes: 

  • Manufacturing defects in the metal, setting, or welding 

  • Structural imperfections or flaws caused during the crafting process 

If a manufacturing issue arises, we will repair or replace the item at no cost. 

What’s Not Covered 

This warranty does not cover: 

  • Normal wear and tear (scratches, dents, bent prongs, or thinning metal) 

  • Lost or loose gemstones caused by external force, impact, or neglect 

  • Damage due to misuse, exposure to harsh chemicals, or improper cleaning 

  • Unauthorized alterations or repairs by another jeweler (which void the warranty) 

  • Theft or loss (these events are typically covered by insurance) 

Gold and platinum are precious yet soft metals. Everyday activities — like exercise, gardening, or handling tools — can stress or distort jewelry. Treat your piece with care and remove it during such activities. 

Care & Maintenance 

Regular care ensures your jewelry remains as brilliant as the day it was made. 

  • At-Home Cleaning: Soak in warm water with mild detergent (avoid bleach). Gently brush with a soft toothbrush, then rinse and pat dry. 

  • Professional Service: We recommend professional cleaning and inspection every two years. This includes tightening settings, polishing, and ultrasonic cleaning. 

  • Cost: Routine servicing starts at approximately $80 USD and keeps your warranty in good standing. 

As a valued Crown & Crux client, you are always welcome to complimentary in-studio ultrasonic cleaning. 

Resizing & Repairs 

Should your ring need adjustment, our artisans will resize it within 5–7 business days (often sooner by arrangement). The process includes gemstone inspection, polishing, and a seamless finish. 
Prices begin at $100 USD. 
Repairs or resizes performed by other jewelers void the warranty. 

Insurance & Loss 

We recommend insuring your jewelry separately through your homeowner’s or specialty jewelry policy. Loss or gemstone displacement caused by external force is considered an insurance claim event. Crown & Crux can assist with valuations for coverage documentation. 

How to Make a Warranty Claim 

  1. Email info@crownandcrux.com with your name, proof of purchase, and photos of the piece. 

  2. Our Concierge Team will review your request and provide shipping instructions. 

  3. After receipt, our master jewelers will assess the piece and confirm warranty eligibility. 

  • Shipping to Crown & Crux is the client’s responsibility. 

  • Return shipping of repaired items is complimentary. 

Legal Compliance 

Crown & Crux warranties comply with the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act (1975) and the FTC Guides for the Advertising of Warranties and Guarantees (16 C.F.R. Part 239). 

Warranty - Summary of Rules

This means our warranty terms are clear, written in plain language, and available for review prior to purchase. Any public mention of our “Lifetime Warranty” or “Lifetime Guarantee” refers to the lifetime of the original purchaser and the duration of Crown & Crux’s operations.
